Merdeka!

Merdeka! Merdeka! This year we had cell group on Merdeka's Eve so everyone stayed for countdown. About 16 of them turned up - Joanne, Sally, FC, Douglas, Lavi,Su Ann, Esther, Kin Fei, Kin Sang, Paul and Elaine. Then we had new comers - Fer, Selwyn, Sarah and Ying Ying. I cooked a lot of food. haha! Started cooking since Monday. Besides celebrating, it was an opportunity to bake cakes for the guinea pigs. For a long time, I wanted to bake but no time. Finally, after church camp, I have a little time this week so I did some baking. I made mango jelly, salsa, brownies, banana nut cheesecake and fettucine carbonara.

Soon, 12am came and we stood at the balcony waiting for fireworks. We saw little little fireworks here and there and nothing special. We saw the nicest and biggest one but just a quarter as the buildings were blocking. We kept complaining why KLCC don't have this year! So 'kiam siap'. Then, we had enough and walked in. Once we sat down, BOOM! So loud, we ran out. Finally, KLCC launched their fireworks. It was superb. We were screaming. Never seen such beautiful fireworks before. Standing at the balcony, watching the beautiful fireworks. But it's so sad... cos I don't have a camera and my handphone just spoilt in the afternoon. What a sad sad time... So where's my camera? A friend (who shall remain nameless) dropped it into the water during church camp. So now rosak dy! sobs...

After the fireworks, we played Pictionary. It was fun. We paired in 2 groups and 6 on each side. We played till 2am. Then, they left. Apparently, they are going to Genting tomorrow.
