29:11

So what's 29:11? 29:11 is a young adults group which a few of us just started in church. Its main objective is to adress the needs and challenges of young adults aged between 22-40. We took 29:11 from Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Going through life, whether in your 20s or 30s, will take us through rough patches. Each one of us has our needs and challenges in life. Walking through this journey is never easy, especially if you’re alone but definitely with God, things will be easier because His Word says that He has a great plan for us. A plan to prosper us not to harm us.

So we kicked off this group by organizing 2 gatherings - "Meet and Meat Party". We played games and had of course, stuffed our faces. Satay was the main course:P I was really glad to see so many people turning up. The response was pretty good and I could see that people actually enjoyed themselves. The 1st gathering on 5th Aug was for aged 22-30 and they were the crazy group who talked more than they ate. The 2nd gathering for 31-40 were very different. They eat a lot and talk a lot. haha!

Our 1st official gathering will be on 26th August 2006 at 7pm at Esther's house instead of church. If you're interested, do let me know.
