My 24th Birthday...
I brushed my teeth and wanted to go to sleep then I realized, it’s only 11pm. Huh? Normally cell will end late and people will leave after 12am but of all days - they leave so early on de eve of my birthday. Paul bought a cake and I cut it at 10plus. 'Sally Ah Ma' gave me a handmade birthday ‘card’ surrounded by Ferrero Rochers.
So I had to think what to do to till 12am… I wrapped a book and I went online. Tick tock tick tock… Thankfully, time flies when you go online. Finally 12, the 1st sms I received was from Ah Heng. So surprised! Then, I received a few more. I felt so happy and touched because those ppl who sms are friends I hardly talk to. Thanks my friends! I told Paul once I received 5 sms, I’m going to sleep. But then quite a few came in. Ah Heng, Suet Leng, Wei Yee, Fer and Wai Yee then I went to sleep. Fer thanks for that unusual sms. I really like it a lot. So nice of you, Wei Yee, to call all the way from Perth.
When I woke up the next morning there were about 20sms dy. haha! I was a pig, so didnt hear those sms. Quite surprising to receive some of those sms. Must be the friendster reminder. kaka! Thanks so much. I really feel so touched. I think I've been LOA lately, so my birthday came just right in time. hehe! Thanks a lot too to those who made an effort to call me.
This year no big celebration and stuff. Just lunch and dinner with one or two friends. When I was younger, birthdays always meant parties and gifts. A friend asked me what I wanted for my birthday? Thought about it... nothing much. I have a house that I really like, I car which I love, I handphone which I'm so satisfied with, a husband whom I love, etc... etc... (Thank God for His blessings) what else? I want friends... company of friends... their thoughts count...
In the morning, Paul made me a Birthday Breakfast. Then, Sally brought me out for lunch at San Francisco today. She ordered my favourite escargots for me. So nice. We had beef nachos and steak too. The food was good but we were stuffed.
Later in the evening, met up with Esther, Joanne and Paul for dinner at Vietnamese kitchen. They changed the menu and prices. Aiyoh! I was still very stuffed so I shared a platter with Joanne. Food was nice. Then, I went for movies with Esther - 'The Banquet'. So nice of Esther to company me. This show weird one le... Kek sei! Very artistic show. Nice? hehe. But I think this movie will win many awards.
