Our 1st Christmas In Our New Home

This year Christmas is really different - the people, the place, the weather... I would say we had a 'quiet' Christmas. Not a negative quiet but nice one :) This morning we woke up at 10 plus and I started cooking and Paul was busy cleaning the house. We're preparing for the night. Our 1st Christmas dinner at our new home.

I baked my 1st cupcakes (finally) and roasted my 1st chicken : P Both turned out well (response from guests). Well, the cupcakes didn't go well at 1st. I think I poured too much into the cup (about 3/4), which I thought it's right. So I threw away the 1st batch cos overspilled. The 2nd batch didn't look nice but can la. I didn't make icing cos I personally don't really like it.

Seems like preparing for a large party but nope, just 2 persons. Only 2 guests, our 1st guests. Having done so much of cooking, I didn't feel tired at all. It was a joy and also cos the weather is cooling, you tend not to wear out so easily. The temperature dropped to about 16 C tonight. Gonna go lower they say. Well, dunno about the rest, but we're really enjoying the weather.

About 4plus, Ada & Inness came over. We started playing Wii. It was really crazy. So much fun even though just the 4 of us.

We had dinner about 7 plus. Yummy! I had been waiting to eat the dishes since morning. haha! There's minestrone soup, garlic bread, roast chic, steak, carbonara, and wine. And later cupcakes and coffee for desert : ) They really enjoyed the food. Thank God everything turned out well. Even though it's my 1st time roasting a chicken, I think it was nice, cos 4 of us finished the whole thing. They liked the cupcakes too. It's all worth it despite so many hours of cooking. everyone seemed satisfied : )
