Day Out Before Christmas

Went to meet up with paul's colleague from Msia today. We had lunch at Cuisine Cuisine, IFC. The food not too bad. I took a picture or the Christmas tree at IFC. Never seen such tree before. It's a hanging tree. No trunk. There's hundreds of strings hanging down to hold the tree. So unique :P

The atmosphere all around HK was great. So christmassy.

Then, we went to the Vine Christmas service at 4pm. We sang christmas carols and it was so nice. I felt so touched. Suddenly, I felt so 'owned' cos wherever you go in the world, when it comes to church, everyone is your 'family'. No one we know there but we sang together, praising God together. So beautiful. After service, they served minced pies and wine... ya, wine! er... we felt weird. 1st time we get to drink wine in a church. And the weird thing it's hot wine.

Well, what I've expressed earlier during service was awesome but after service was the other way round. We felt out of place. Suddenly, the 'family' feeling felt apart. We hung around for a while and this is our 2nd time here. Both times, not a single soul spoken to us. It made us reconsider should make this our home church? But seriously Agape has a strength that is hospitality. Someone will tend to speak to newcomers especially Aunty Ah B : P It's so important to make newcomers feel welcomed. Agapeans, keep up the good work.

After that, we went TST waterfront just to relax...
