Great HK Trip!
I just got back from HK yesterday. Yes, training again. I was supposed to come back today but came back yestereday and gave Paul a surprise. hehe!I went a few days earlier. I went around jalan-jalan. I'm quite familiar with HK so I felt kinda safe going around alone. I also met up with 2 of my friends-Ada and Inness (HK CX collegues). They volunteered to bring me around. Since I've been to most of the places of interest in HK, they brought me to the outlying island - Lamma Island. An island which I only have seen in the TVB series. It's a very relaxing and peaceful place. No big vehicles, mini ones like mini ambulance, no cars, many bicycles.
I felt so blessed to have these 2 friends. They are very nice people. Trust me, yes they are. This is the 2nd time I met up with both of them but I felt very comfortable with them. It's hard to find people that you can clique easily. They said I look like a little girl, like their daughter, that's why they became my mummy and daddy. Ada was so funny. She went around her office area, introducing me as her 'loi-loi'. haha!
We went to Lamma Island on Sat morning. We did some light trekking from one side (up the hills) over to the other side. Then, we had seafood. Delicious and fresh! We went back to Kowloon in the about4pm and headed off to Itamae Sushi for early dinner. Wow, very nice sushi. There were so many choices. Never tried such sushi before. We had to split after that as they left for a concert and I went shopping myself at Wanchai and Causeway Bay.
As usual, Sunday morning I attended International Christian Assembly (ICA). What a coincidence! The speaker that day was Ps Dr Chew Weng Chee (SIB,KL). haha! A familiar face in HK. After service, I went for wanton mee next door. For those who know me, yes, I dont like wanton mee buThen, I went shopping shopping and shopping. Checked in to Novotel in the afternoon and met up with Ivy, my Penang colleague. At night I went for Soweto Gospel Choir. As it was HK's Art Festival, there were many concerts going on and this was one of it. I went to watch alone. I really like it. The singers were superb.
Finally, my training started on Monday. Met many people from every parts of the world. Training was not very hectic but helped me to understand better on reports processing.
Final night before I left, Ada and Inness brought Ivy and I to Kowloon for some local food. We had 'fry ting' and also desert at Langham. I met a celebrity there too - Chan Sau Man. Sat next to our table but no one bothered la... ooohhh... didn't dare to take pic.
The exciting moment was before we departed, Ivy and I had lunch at the Business Class Lounge and we saw Ekin Cheng, Mung Ka Wai and their families. Not sure where they were going. Both of them were thin. Or maybe skinny. Ivy thought Mung Ka Wai was a Philipino. haha! Ivy was so excited. I had to calm her. I saw Ekin eye-to-eye when he passed by our table. I was shocked and I think he guessed I'm crazy as I my eyes just grew big ('shocking eyes') What an experienced! Well, I am not really crazy about them la. Just that when you meet celebrities, suddenly like you're crazy la. Too bad... we didn't take any of their pics. Paiseh la.
