Desmond & Shermaine's Wedding

I attended a wedding today. Actually I don't know them but was invited. Paul doesn't know them that well either. We only got to know them because of the wedding. Why were we invited then? Paul is different because he had to play drums and give a special presentation. Me? Because I'm married to Paul and the wedding coordinator is Jeremy Kwan, our close buddy. haha! I met Desmond once but not the wife. Actually, they have been attending our church for months but never got a chance to talk to them. I was shocked when they told me Shermaine is 23. My age - o-ho! This is a very special wedding though I don't know them personally. It's bcos Desmond's dad, Bro Clarence - was very ill that time but yet he came for the wedding - in a wheel chair. I cried when people greeted him and gave him hugs. We could all tell that he was in pain at that time but still - when Desmond kissed the bride, I saw his dad smile despite the pain. Hmm... But thank God that he managed to see his son's wedding (from what I hear, he was fighting hard to make it to the wedding day). The church had been praying for him and we all really wanted him to be able to wait till this day. God is good!
