What a Day!

Today, is my 1st day of work at Canaanland. Nothing much to do. Just getting used to the environment. Not boring. I enjoyed myself though doing some simple stuff. Was supposed to finish at 5pm but had some last minute stuff to settle, so left about 6 plus. Which means I worked late on my first day of work! Not funny! It's ok laaa...

Unfortunately, while driving home, I met with an accident. Along Jalan Gurney, while approaching a speed bump, a teenage boy ran out suddenly from the left side. It's like he just appeared from nowhere... Poof! He was running down a slope and I guess he lost control. Immediately, I braked. Too late... Pok! There was a loud sound. My engine died. I saw him hopping over to the other side of the road. I'm not sure whether he's alright or not. I panicked. I saw about 10 people looking at him. Sitting there, they didn't approach him to help. Then, his friends came and they left. I didn't see whether he limped or walked off. I was too scared. I didn't stop my car because I thought he was alright. Furthermore there was a bus coming from the back so I drove home. Thank God my condo was just few metres away. My legs went soft, man.

Later, Paul told me it's better to make a police report in case the boy broke his leg. The more I thought about it, the more fearful I was. I didn't cook. No mood. Ordered Dominoes though I already boiled soup since morning. After dinner, we went to make a police report at H.S. Lee Police Station. I really thank God because I met a very friendly and nice Malay sergeant. While asking me to testify, he chatted with me and made me felt better. He even came out and chatted with Paul and told us not to be too worried. Thank God for bringing him across our path. Hah! What a day!
