The Stars

Today, went to teach the Achenese children again. I realized one thing...
when we were young, our teachers would draw a star and write 'Very Good' when we did well in our exercises. Recalling how happy I felt then, I think it's very important to encourage students. Even when we were in University, those remarks written by lecturers were so important too. Being a teacher now, it doesn't mean anything to us anymore. But, it's so important to the children. There's this little boy who always asks me to write 'Very Good' and draw many stars. To me, it's like haha...what for? But he really wants those stars so much. Today, he marked his own book and awarded himself 13 stars. I scolded him and told him he can't mark his own book. haha! What a cute boy. Now, I know those stars are my tools to make the children listen to me :P
