Pohpiah Party
My 2nd bro came back from Spore so mum had a pohpiah party. If you've never tried my mum's pohpiah, let me tell you, IT'S THE BEST!! I'm not joking. It's world-class, superior maximum standard. That's why I never eat pohpiah outside. At 1st, mum suggested to invite just a few fellas but there were about 50 people in the end. It was real fun having so many people around.
Mum prefers to cut all the ingredients rather than use the shredder. It tastes different. That's a lot of cutting ok - egg, cucumber, taugeh, taufu, lap cheong, vege, turnip, cabbage, french beans, yummy unhealthy pork lard and lots more.How did I help? My sis-in-law, eldest bro and I cut the french beans. Look at the big pail of beans. We cut for 3 hours and just as we thought we were done, mum came and poured more into the pail. Aiyo! It was endless. We took so long and we were amazed at how fast mum cut the turnip.
