Down with Dengue

I was admitted on Sun afternoon after the blood test shows that my blood platelet count was 58. Argh! I felt so terrible when I knew I had to be admitted. Recalling my past experience, 4 years ago. I cried after the nurse poked me with the drip needle and injected me with painkiller on my bum bum. So painful. Thanks to Sally ah ma who came in time to wipe my tears. hehe! I really didn't know where I got my dengue. Since the incubation period is 2 weeks, I got it either in KL or Penang. My blood test shown that I was exposed to dengue before this. Huh? When? I was shocked. Well, maybe my antibody fought the last dengue.

1st and 2nd day was still not too bad as I was still able to eat. But on Tue, I ate too much for dinner so I suffered the following days. I puked and purged on Tue night. It was really terrible. After Tue, I was not able to eat much anymore :( That was when I started losing weight.

My big thanks to those who visited me, those who sms-ed, those who called, those who sent flowers and most of all, those who prayed for me. There were so many of you, can't count (it was all so touching and meant such a great deal). All of you have been so great. Without your prayers, it would have been tough for me. Oh ya, of course my 'super hero' husband who was with me all the time since I was sick. He had to take leave too to company me.

Finally, my blood count went up to 102 on Wed and allowed to discharge on Thur. Praise the Lord!
