Where Movies Come Alive
The moment I turned on my computer and open Intracx (our internal website), I saw 'Winners of the "We Love Hong Kong" Staff Competition'. I was so excited and quickly click on it. I read and didn't see my name. I was kinda sad. Then below it was written: Winners of the shortlisted entries will each get a HKSAR 10th Anniversary aircraft model. Click here to see why they love Hong Kong.
So I just clicked to check out the submissions. I was looking at the 1st two submissions and suddenly I realized eh...isn't that mine? Yes!!!! I was so excited cos I really won. I quickly ran to my collegue and told her. Mana tau a few of them say "cheh only won an aircraft model". Suddenly, felt so disappointed. I told myself: Well, it's open to all CX & KA staff all over the world and I'm one of the 10people who got shortlisted wor. Oklor... Moreover, I only spent half an hour on it. I wonder how big is the aircraft model. Will collect it from HK office next week.

This is my submission:
I love Hong Kong because in this great grand city, all my favourite movies come to life. Every street, any sidewalk, each red cab and every double-decker bus lets me relive a moment in a movie or TVB drama I once enjoyed. Walking the streets of Hong Kong makes me feel like I'm in a world-famous Jacky Chan blockbuster. When I come out of my plane and walk in the Hong Kong International Airport, I am reminded of Myolie Wu in "Triumph in the Skies". Taking the ferry across the harbour reminds me of Lo Ka Leung in "At the Threshold of an Era". Eating seafood at Lamma Island makes me think of Chan Wai San in "A Taste of Love". Visiting Ocean Park reminds me of Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung in "Heart of Greed". Standing at the Peak at night and I see the wonderful city where all my favourite celebrities live. At Madam Tussauds', I'm even closer to them. It is as if I'm looking at Joey Yung Jo Yee right in the eyes. Or giving Leon Lai a hug. Or posing for a picture with Miriam Yeung. At the Avenue of Stars, I walk where they walk. I put my hand in their handprints and I feel like I'm shaking their hands. When I take a photo at the Avenue of Stars, with the skyline of Hong Kong island as my backdrop - I feel like a star myself. So, don't just watch the movies. Come live it!
