Interesting dinner

We went to an interesting wedding today - Paul's colleague. Something we didn't expect - it's a 20 people wedding dinner. Huh? She had a big (500ppl) chinese dinner in Muar but rather seems like her parents wedding. hehe! And this is what they really wanted. Paul's colleague is a friendly, outspoken and she can be quite ah lian. haha! Interestingly, the groom is super quiet Australian guy. They match k.

It was held in Oggi (Italian Restaurant), Regent Hotel. Super romantic place. I like it a lot. The food was good but it's those not filling but nice and pricey meals - fine dining. I like most the 1st appetizer - fresh oyster in some lemon + .... sauce. So fresh! We had 3 appetizers, 1 main course, desert and free flow of wine but it took 3-4 hours for them to serve everything. I think it's intentionally so that people can chat. Anyway, I was quite full but pity those guys and the 'fan thongs'.

I really enjoyed this wedding even though I don't know 90% of the people. I only know Brian and Gary and I think Kelvin - the bride's friend, is a local movie star. The dinner was very relaxing, a lot of laughing and the bride will just come and chit chat. There was a guy who play piano and sang throughout. He sang so well.

I think this is a nice type of wedding dinner especially for those couples who don't want to have big stuff besides registration.
