Praise the Lord!
After so many months of preparation, the Easter Musical finally came and went. Yup... The 1st night was very tense for everyone - of course la - 1st night ma. haha! Believing God is in control really helped everyone to stay calm. My 1st item was to run the slide show. I was afraid that it might just stop or something will go wrong so I just prayed all the way. After the slide show, I stood at the back and watched the musical. My tears just flowed. I was in awe of how God helped us put all this together. I was simply amazed. Crying not so much because of the story line cos I've watched it like so many umpteen times but because God's presence was just there. I could literally feel it. I didn't watch the whole musical. Before the crucifixion scene, I went backstage to change into choir robes. So many people asked me, you sang ar? How come I didn't see you. Yes, I sang but just 1 song lar. Of course can't see me la. haha!
The only night that I managed to watch the crucifixion scene was Sunday. I sat at the 1st row, trying to take some pics. When Jesus came in, I just can't help, but cried and cried. It was so sad, so painful to see how Jesus was tortured. The blood... argh... This was just a drama and can you imagine 2000 years ago, how Jesus really suffered? When He was born, He already knew that He had to go through all these so that our sins will be forgiven. If I am Jesus, I can't, I really can't. I was the guest kelefe - or as Paul calls it, guest superstar.
My parents came on Sat. I told them to came early or get no seats. It was so packed on Sat. By about 7.45pm, we had to lock the gate cos it was just packed. The overflow room was also packed. No parking, no seats, not even standing space. For 3 nights, we had to lock the gate. This was the 1st time, our church was so packed. About 1000 people came every night. On Sat night itself, my mum re-dedicated her life to the Lord. Praise the Lord! We do our best and He will do the rest!
