Christmas Sharing Programme

After 3 days of Christmas Sharing Programme, finally everything's done and I can get the load out of my head. haha! The event was successful. I really enjoyed the whole event though it was tiring. Looking at the guests enjoying themselves, eating, listening and watching the presentations. It was a very meaningful event – organized to bless the poor and needy. Though, it’s just a meal a day that we offered but I can see the joy in their faces.
The first 2 days was held in Seremban town. On the 1st day, there were 30+ guests -poor people including the homeless. There were more on the 2nd day - 50+ because some of those from the day before brought friends. The last day was held in church, 135 turned up. These were invited guests from the estates and orphanages. It was a good experience for Agapeans as this is the 1st outdoor charity event that we've done.

Aunty Cynthia, Dr Peter Yeow & IMU students provided free medical services while Dr. Lionel gave free dental checkup. The committee was the KL prayer group and the street ministry members. FC was the boss man. Only he can coordinate something so crazy. I was leading the Servers + Greeters. Our duty was to get the food and serve the guests. We also had to sit down and chat with them. It was hard at first - what do you say to them? Thankfully, it got easier after awhile. Besides that, the committee also sang carols and I played guitar with David :P Simply Hantam. Everyone was very cooperative and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with the people. Over the 3 nights, we encountered drunks too. But I knew I was not to judge them. It's not easy following what Jesus did, moreover, this is nothing compared to what he has done.Jesus wants us to love them.

Hopefully there'll be more such events in the coming year.
