Mobile Clinic

Mobile Clinic

On the 2nd day of our arrival, we joined the Mobile Clinic of Romyen Church to Singbhuri. We departed about 8pm and it took us about 3 hours to reach the destination. We slept in a school hall with many other doctors, pharmacists and volunteers. We slept on mats, on the floor. The next day, we woke up about 6am. Breakfast was prepared. We had porridge with 'yao char kwai'. Then, we proceeded to work. Szet Anne and I were assigned to pack medicine. Haha! So funny, I actually got to experience being a pharmacist for a day. It was interesting, learning the names of the medicine. But after some time, I felt a little bored. I think being a pharmacist for a day will do, not as my career. Thank God I'm not a pharmacist, or else will be bored to death. Haha! So many villagers came. We gave them free treatment and medicine. There were 3 doctors, 8 dentists, some pharmacists and volunteers. I really admire the dentists. They gave free teeth scaling non-stop from morning till noon. It was serena's 1st time giving treatment to patients. Some of us took their blood pressure and some took weight measurements. I really had a wonderful time.
