God Never Fails Us
Praise the Lord! You will never believe this. I, myself, can't believe it either. kaka!
Today, 27th January 2007, my father's house has
no more idols! My father accepted Christ and is a Christian now. He has been a Taoist even before I was born. Never could I ever imagine that in such a short time (5 years+) after I became a Christian, my dad would come to know the Lord too. Since young, I saw my father kneel down, meditate and pray - night and day, without fail. He went to temples so often and then suddenly, poof! he decided to convert. I didn't force him, neither did my mum. But one night, he suddenly asked my mother "If I convert, what about the idols?" All I did before this while was pray that my family will come to know Christ one day. And last year, I quit a few ministries so that I could spend more time with my family. Seems like it's a right decision to make. But that decision aside, it very clearly states in Acts16:31 ..."Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." I know this promise but found it hard to believe it till this happened. See, I'm also a human but this helped me to know that God never fails us. What He promised, He means. No fooling around.

So what happened on the 27th? We started off by singing pra
ises to the Lord. Then, our pastors, my in-laws and some Agapeans, came together to help to clear all the idols and altars in the house. The good news is my next door uncle (my mum's bro) and his family also gave their lives to Jesus. Of course, the week before my in-laws explained to them about Christianity 1st. Christianity is not a religion which if you feel like it, you join. It's a relationship with Jesus. You have to 1st know Jesus and His sacrifice for us on the cross. Then, accept Him into your live. No elaborate ritual. Just a simple prayer.
Here are some pics on my hero husband and father in law, sawing the altar cupboard. Thanks to Pastor Ben and a few uncles who helped to drive the idols to throw away and also break the altars. Pastor Ben is a real expert. He did everything so fast. Praise God for today!
